Neil Young - Everybody’s Alone
Absolutely incredible unreleased Crazy Horse burner, recorded sometime around the “Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’ sessions.
I promised myself i would not be suckered in to buying the Archives set earlier this year but i broke down in July. It was my birthday, come on.
A great, essential collection - if you don’t already own his first 4 records. The nuggets are sort of scarce on the 8 disc CD version. You get some very cool Squires recordings (Young’s first band), a handful of alternate versions & some live treats.
In retrospect I would have been better off to shell out the 300+ bones for the blu ray set but i do not currently own a blu ray player. The accompanying book is great though and hearing this song for the first time was alone worth the price of admission.
where were YOU when ‘bleach’ was re-issued?
(hate to say it but this “new” Reading footage looks choice)
this perfectly captures the psychedelic experience. if you are a compulsive liar & in the 10th grade.
i really like this song.
